Brad graduated from BCIT with an honours diploma in Mechanical Technology in 1986. At the age of 25, he purchased his first manufacturing business, Van
Ingen (now Advanced Bending Technologies). He later went on to purchase IMW Industries, which he built into a globally successful exporter with subsidiaries
in five countries around the world, with over $100 million in revenue and 700 employees. After selling IMW in 2009, Brad continued to invest in the
manufacturing space in Canada and the US and currently owns seven companies specialized in marine and industrial manufacturing with a focus on clean
tech manufacturing. Additionally, Brad is a significant investor in several tech start-ups in the food processing and medical device sectors.
Brad is also active as a volunteer director on the boards of two foundations, three not for profits and one NGO with a focus on education and health in Canada and Uganda.
Rod began working in the manufacturing sector in 1992 and earned a reputation for being both reliable and resourceful. In 1999 he founded a machine shop offering alternative and innovative solutions to his clients. This became a focus and passion for the company. While operating his own business, he became acquainted with Advanced Bending Technologies (ABT) while supporting their machining needs and as a result, joined ABT in 2002. The machine shop he founded became an integral part of the AdvanTec Group as other companies were acquired.
Rod managed ABT and provided working support to co-ordinate staff at both B.C. and Alberta plants. This continued for several years until Rod transitioned into a more active role in business development. Rod is the General Manager at ABT and also supports sales throughout the AdvanTec Industrial group of companies.
Thomas graduated from BCIT in 2001 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering Tech. He started working at Advanced Bending Technologies (ABT) the summer of his graduating year. In 2003 he took over as branch manager of ABT's Calgary branch. Thomas left the organization in 2004 to gain outside experience in a technical sales role and returned in 2005 as the Calgary branch manager. Over the years, Thomas has helped the company grow by gaining market share and revenue and also adding staff to the Calgary facility. Thomas has been instrumental in moving the company twice, with the latest move to our new 68,000 sq/ft facility which houses all of our Industrial companies, Advanced Bending Technologies, Advanced Flow Systems and Surround Technologies.
Dan Campeau is a new addition to AdvanTec. Joining the team June of 2017, a red seal certificate, journeyman millwright with an extensive background in manufacturing both nationally and internationally. Dan’s background includes, maintenance, repair, 5S, process, efficiency, shop set up and safety improvement.
Since joining the team, Dan has helped set up shop at the new facility in Calgary. Helping to create clean, safe, efficient and more productive environment for the team, with goals of reducing production costs while increasing efficiency.
As shop manager, Dan is involved in setting up all new product lines being introduced to our new Calgary facility for Advanced Bending, Advanced Flow and Surround Technologies.
Justin is an account manager representing Advanced Bending, Advanced Flow Systems and Surround Technologies. He has over 15 years of Oil and Gas experience with over 5 years in a business development and technical sales role. Justin also brings 8 years of bending industry experience. Mr. Roe is responsible for communication with key stakeholder, vendors and prospects and assists in project planning and estimating while clearly communicating with all vested team members to his clients expectations are met.
